Larry Berz
Larry Berz begins his 21st year as planetarium director and astronomy educator of the Science Center. A native of Chicago, he currently resides in Limestone with his wife Sharon and their family.
Larry received his B.A. from Stanford University in 1979 and also received formal training as a planetarium professional from the Adler Planetarium of Chicago in 1986/87.
In addition, Larry continues in his 11th year of service as Instructor of Astronomy at the Maine School of Science and Mathematics (MSSM). Since 1997, he also participates as senior instructor of the Summer Exploration programs for boys and girls at the MSSM. Since 2000, he has regularly participated in the Project Explorer program at the University of Maine at Presque Isle. He also regularly participates in the annual Young Author Program, Project SAGE for senior learning, and Gifted and Talented opportunities.
