We follow the Easton & Fort Fairfield school schedules and are closed when these schools are on break or are closed due to weather conditions.

Group Programs

 

SNOWSHOEING!!!

Organize a group snowshoe hike through the wooded trails at the Science Center.  Gather up some family & friends, bring a group from your work place, church, social club, etc.  Don't own snowshoes?  Not to worry...we have a variety of sizes available for your use.  Fees vary depending on your specific requests.  Please call us with questions or to book your reservation.  

ADULT & YOUTH RECREATION AND CHURCH GROUPS

Throughout the year these groups visit us to enjoy classes on wreath making, apple cider pressing, and snowshoe hiking.  Additionally, any of our available Planetarium and Science/Nature programs are available for group bookings.

BOY/GIRL SCOUT TROOPS, 4-H GROUPS

Over the years we have hosted several scout groups who have come for a “sleepover” at the Science Center. Enjoy an outdoor hot dog roast followed by various programming with Mr. Martin and Mr. Berz.  A fun, evening, outdoor activity and/or movie watching concludes the day. Each child is asked to bring his/her own snack and breakfast for morning (and a sleeping bag, of course!) One leader per group is required to spend the night with the children.

NOTE: Some of our Science & Nature and/or Planetarium Programs can be designed to cover the requirements necessary for scouts to receive a badge.

ELDERLY GROUPS/GROUPS WITH DISABILITIES

The Francis Malcolm Science Center is pleased to be providing free monthly programs to our seniors and those with disabilities. Mr. Martin and Mr. Berz have thoroughly enjoyed working with these groups providing various programs. Several Science/Nature Programs provide excellent opportunities to work on fine motor skills.

BUSINESS MEETINGS/PROGRAMS

We invite businesses to bring your company’s meeting to the Science Center or bring a group to enjoy a planetarium, science, or nature program. Book an event with us today and say "thanks" to your employees for their hard work!

PRIVATE GROUPS/CLUBS

If you would like to organize your own group to visit the Science Center we would love to have you! Please call us to plan your event.

Or educators, Mr. Berz and Mr. Martin, would be glad to come speak to your group or organization about the Francis Malcolm Science Center or to discuss a particular subject offered in our existing programs. This service is offered free of charge.
